We’re a stable, fast-growing company with amazing opportunities to start and grow your career. We offer a diverse selection of instructor-led trainings online and in-person for our clients to choose from. Our products are leading the information security training industry with customers including the federal government, military and Fortune 500 companies. Delivering award-winning trainings to the CIA, FBI, NSA, Sandia National Labs, Microsoft, JP Morgan-Chase, Amgen, Intel and more, we are leading experts in the field of information security certification training.
As a mid-market company, we’re not interested in office politics or the endless trials of corporate hierarchies and bureaucracy. We’re interested in getting things done. Our management teams are open to your suggestions and make sound decisions on helping us grow. It’s evident in the 450% growth we’ve seen over the past 4 years.
You’ll have executive power over the future and success of Skillset, which means being trusted to make your own decisions and plan your own strategy. In this job, you’ll be a part of the rapidly growing information security industry, and learn from some of the best in the biz. Skillset has demonstrated traction and is now poised for growth, which means this is a diamond of an opportunity for someone who wants to grow along with it. You’ll feel proud of your work and be able to see the results of your efforts in real time.
As the Product Manager, you’ll define new product features, strategy and roadmaps for Skillset. Skillset is the next generation skills assessment and test preparation platform that will disrupt legacy test preparation business models. Your mission is to create the best experience and value for our users. You’ll be the mountaineer that helps Skillset climb to Everest heights of success. Along the way, you’ll work with our talented development, content and marketing teams to achieve your goals. You’ll also get into the gritty details of the app by maintaining the product backlog, defining sprints, A/B testing calls-to-action and surveying users. Using that data, you’ll make well researched and compelling product proposals for the strategic future of Skillset. A smaller portion of your role will focus on the e-commerce conversion model of SecurityIQ, which is a security awareness training app with a built in anti-phishing simulator that helps protect companies from being hacked.
You’re capable of noticing the details, while still keeping the big picture in focus. You’re organized, diligent and clever, but you thrive in a work environment that is laid back and fun. You’re a voracious learner; once you get excited about something, it becomes your passion. Advocacy comes easy to you, whether it’s a subject, product or person – you stand up for what you believe in. You’re not scared off by needing to get your hands dirty with the details, but you’re capable of functioning at high level when needed. You crave autonomous work you can sink your teeth into and you don’t need micro managing.
You’ve been a Product Manager or Product Owner for 3+ years, working with digital products. You know what data to analyze to get relevant results, and you’re skilled at formulating business decisions from those conclusions. You’re familiar with an agile environment and the SCRUM process. Your proposals are compelling and you have experience with B2C and B2B conversions. Our perfect candidate will have a start-up background and experience working for a company whose site or app is their primary product, with particular attention given to experience working with freemium products. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
