Your role:

As the Marketing Events Specialist, you will manage all aspects of trade shows and events to achieve company goals. You will manage budgets, work on pre-event marketing and planning, post-event analysis, and generally make sure the event runs smoothly and efficiently. Reporting to our Director of Brand and Marketing Communications, you'll assume leadership of a fast-paced trade show schedule. At the same time, the success of the program will depend upon you assuming full ownership of each show, whether you attend or not. You'll have the opportunity to showcase your own creativity as you envision, design, and execute focused programs to drive brand awareness and sales leads in both security and vertical-specific conferences.

Your responsibilities: 

  • Work cross-functionally to plan and develop effective pre-show and post-show marketing campaigns
  • Deliver event post-mortems to show performance to brand and lead goals
  • Maintain relationships for favorable treatment with show vendors
  • Prepare and execute a detailed work plan of event needs
  • Develop event playbooks and pre-brief event staff, setting expectations to ensure goals are met
  • Hire and wrangle speakers or subject matter experts
  • Hire A/V teams or equipment as necessary
  • Approve design, layout, cost estimates, and construction of exhibits and trade show displays
  • Maintain communication with any outside vendors contracted for the event
  • Setup and break down event space or prepare other event staff to successfully execute

Your qualifications:

  • A proven ability to communicate effectively with Sales, Marketing, Executive Management, and vendors
  • The ability to manage workloads and prioritize requests to meet deadlines
  • A proactive approach to “managing” internal customers, such as ensuring that they register on time
  • Outstanding project management skills
  • Strong problem solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and with minimum direction
  • Robust attention to the details without losing sight of the big picture
