Your role

As the Community Manager, you’ll be in charge of cultivating an inclusive, technical, cross-promotional digital community around information security. You’re going to source, curate, and share relevant technical articles surrounding trending infosec topics. You’ll point members from one resource to another to make sure they get the best information possible and you’ll participate in and moderate discussions.

Technically, you’re familiar with information security certifications or have some yourself. Digitally, you’re active on multiple social media sites like Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and probably a few blogs. You like having the freedom to work with minimal supervision because you’re a doer of all the things. You’re passionate about creating a large community where people visit because they know you’re doing things right.

Your qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in digital media
  • Technical writing experience
  • Social media management experience
  • Strong research abilities and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Self-directed and motivated to meet deadlines
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Multi-tasker with great time management skills
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
